Leadership Learning

How and from whom leaders learn has been traditionally expressed as the ratio 70:20:10.  The ratio breaks down to 70% on the job training, 20% learning from others and 10% from formal learning.  Development Dimensions International, Inc.’s Global Leadership Forecast 2014|2015 found some intriguing differences.  The study found leaders spend more time learning from others and through formal development than previously thought.  Highest-quality leader development resembles 52:27:21.
