The Reflective Leader

In a recent article for McKinsey Quarterly, Manisha Chopra describes how he became a more thoughtful, effective leader through the practice of mindfulness and meditation.  Though he does not prescribe meditation for every leader, he shares related strategies to boost effectiveness, including fighting email addiction, finding the positive in negative situations and focusing on others.  Regardless of the strategy employed, his ultimate leadership advice is to “observe more and react less.”
