Reframing Gender Issues in Leadership

In a recent post on Harvard Business Review (HBR), author Avivah Wittenberg-Cox addresses the lack of women at senior leadership levels.  She redirects the focus away from equality to business performance.  Citing other HBR contributors, Ms. Wittenberg-Cox writes that businesses with gender balance “deliver better and more sustainable performance.”  Furthermore, she argues for the cessation of women-only networks and for building gender-balanced organizations through accountability.
