In a recent post, Fast Company contributor Stephanie Vozza writes about the underpinnings of John D. Mayer’s book “Personal Intelligence.” Mayer, co-developer of the theory on emotional intelligence, argues knowing your personality as well as others’ can make you a successful leader. By understanding personalities, leaders can modify their approach for greater understanding as well as motivating others. Leaders increase their personal intelligence through “observation, inquisitiveness and natural curiosity.”
